HNJH to Offer New Payment Option to Patients

Helen Newberry Joy Hospital has announced the introduction of an alternative payment program providing patients and families an additional option for paying medical bills.

HNJH partnered with Curae to offer the Helen Newberry Joy Hospital Card. With the HNJH Card, patients will have a revolving line of credit so they and their family members can use it for repeat services and pay over-time with monthly payments that fit their budget. Curae has 22 years of experience in the financial industry with over 17 million consumers served. They also partner with retail giants like Sears and Home Depot for their credit services needs.

With high deductible insurance plans on the rise and consumers paying a greater percentage of out-of-pocket health care costs, HNJH wants to help patients make health care decisions with less worry about the repayment for their care.

“We don’t want patients to have to worry about how they’re going to pay their bill when seeking care,” said Jarred Siple, Revenue Cycle Manager, HNJH. “We want them to be able to focus on healing and getting better.”

Patients can apply and get a decision on whether they qualify for the line of credit in less than a minute. For additional information about the program, or to apply, visit curae.com/apply/hnjh or contact the HNJH Patient Accounts Office at 293.9115 or 293.9123.
