HNJH Follows Executive Order and Implements New Clinic Scheduling Process

HNJH Coronovirus Executive order and new clinic scheduling process

Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-17, which imposes temporary restrictions on non-essential medical and dental procedures beginning no later than March 21, 2020, at 5:00 pm. This means HNJH will postpone all non-essential medical services. If you have any questions about whether your procedure is essential please call your providers’ office.

In following the new Executive Order, and the need to ensure the health and safety of our patients, starting Monday, March 23rd, we will implement a new scheduling process for clinic patients. This process will
minimize situations where we have patients suffering from fever or respiratory symptoms, coming into
contact with patients coming in for routine visits.

The Gibson Family Health Clinic will schedule routine visits during morning clinic hours, and patients with
fevers or respiratory symptoms in the afternoon. Same-day, or walk-in, patients will be treated in Dr. Bryant’s office space Monday - Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, patients will continue to be seen in the Gibson Family Health Clinic. Dr. Bryant will temporarily move his office to the Gibson 2nd Floor Clinic, where Dr. Jensen and Dr. Washington see patients.

Again, this process change is designed to better protect patients. We are also looking at the potential for
telemedicine appointments and will provide more information as it becomes available.
